This site brings together two strands of work. The first is a series of architecture workshops held in Italy, organised as a joint programme with a research unit of the architecture faculty of Sapienza University of Rome, and built around lectures, visits to contemporary and historical buildings and a stay in Venice during the Biennale.
The second is the Fanoos touristic complex, an architectural project for a site in Noshahr, on the coastal strip facing the Sisangan forest park on the Caspian Sea. Its own page sets out the programme, the surface areas and the way the building meets the water.
A photo report documented the first of the workshops, and the archive page summarises the programme that followed it. The pages describing cultural and artistic activity set out the wider range of lectures, seminars, exhibitions and publications within which both strands sit.
